Solvay 91

Solvay 91, registration NY3014F, was built at Choisy-le-Roi in 1930 with a 25 hp Deutz engine. The information on this page is taken from Vagus-Vagrant.fr unless otherwise stated.

Solvay 91 was put up for sale in early 1982 by Solvay, when Yves Ghislain w/as transferred to the factory. It was purchased in September 1982 by Gilles D., a boatman from Vitry-le-François (51), who named it "LIBERTÉ" (Freedom). He sold it in 1987 for personal reasons.  It was converted into a houseboat moored on the Doubs River upstream from the double lock No. 54-55 at Rancenay (25), still bearing the motto "LIBERTE".  It was dismantled around 2018 in Saint-Usage, near Saint-Jean-de-Losne (21).
