From l'Est Républicain February 2 1925:

A bargeman burned alive

Dombasle, February 1st. - (From our special correspondent) - Mr. Edmond Boucher, a bargeman aboard Solvay Company vessel number 30, was in the engine room, cleaning the benzol tank. Suddenly, a violent explosion occurred, and the unfortunate man was engulfed in flames from the escaping gases.  Hearing the explosion, two workers, Messrs. Montach and Marcel Bernard, rushed to his aid. Courageously, they entered the cabin, wrapped Mr. Boucher in blankets, and carried him to the hospital. Despite all the care provided, he died during the night.

Apparently Solvay 30 was one of the Solvays that disappeared during the war.
