Solvay 13, registration NY2251F was built at Munier in Frouard in 1895 and motorized in 1928 with a 20hp Deutz engine. All information is sourced from Vagus-Vagrant.fr.
Some name change information from Sylviane: I have just learned some new information about the Solvay 13 : I already knew that it became Thierry, owned by Arnal, in 1965 or 66, but here's the thing: before that, in 1959, it became PH, owned by Pierre Pezet and his wife, Marthe Haas, hence the two-letter motto, P-H . In 1960, a cabin was fitted at the shipyard in Mortagne; it was after the death of Pierre Pezet that his nephew by marriage, Mr. Arnal, bought the boat and gave it the motto Thierry.
There were many people on this Solvay in the 1930s at Demange aux Eaux; at that time it was piloted by Albert Monnerat.
Here she is waiting to unload coal at Dombasle-sur-Meurthe in 1958:
Covered with tarpaulins in Dombasle:
With Lucie Sinbille in Tavaux around 1950, in the ice:
With Maurice Sibille, around 1960, an interesting photo
because it shows a small galley, which was added later:
Here's a photo that appeared in a book or magazine from 1982. This Thierry was photographed in Crévéchamps (canal des Vosges); I think this boat is in the right subject, its home port is Nancy.
