Solvay 123

Solvay 123, registration NY3661F, was built in 1963 in Chalon-sur-Saône.  Unless indicated otherwise the following is sourced from Vagus-Vagrant.fr.

Solvay 123 was put up for sale in 1987, the year the Solvay fleet ended, when René and Geneviève Lafarge transferred to the factory. It was bought by the Cooperative Agricole de la Brie in Nangis (77), which renamed it La Brie 1 and changed its registration number to P1536F. In 2000, Louis and Chantal C. from Saint-Mammès (77), acquired it and renamed it Garabit. In early 2014, the new owner, Mr. Joan G. on the pushed convoy Diane & Leader gave it the new name Outsider. At one point, it would be a pusher for the barge Leader.  Today, in 2025, it is still sailing but is for sale.

Here, at Masnières, you can see on the hatches a plaque with the motto, the registration number, the large tonnage (407 tonnes at 2.70m, these three new ones were 10cm longer than the big Solvay ones ), and the name of the captain (Lucien Gallaert, known as Nénette, but that doesn't appear on the plaque!); and also a sticker of AS Nancy-Lorraine at the bottom of the first window on the side of the awning!
