Solvay 106 replaced an earlier wooden unpowered barge that Solvay had purchased second hand and then resold - see 'Solvay 106 Original'. When Solvay sold her to S.A. Granulats Rhone Alpes she was renamed Denis and re-registered as NY3785F. She has since been scrapped.
This is a very early photograph of Solvay 106. It appears to be used in the construction of a pontoon bridge; the photo is undated, but it was likely taken in May or June 1940:
